Learning to ski or snowboard at an early age is the perfect way to help young children instill a love for winter. Exploring the slopes helps kids build self-confidence, meet new friends and develop a lifelong affinity for the outdoors.
Dana Freeman is the Founder of FindandGoSeek.net, a hyper-local destination for families to discover what to see and do in their community. She is the Editorial Director of Vermont’s FindandGoSeek. As a compulsive fun seeker, she is out there taking copious notes on what her family encounters. Think of her as your eyes, your ears, your finger on the pulse of what are must see, must do things. In her role as Miss Magpie, she is always looking for insider tips on Family Fun in Vermont. Additionally, she writes a travel blog providing hotel and destination reviews in Vermont and beyond.
Dana moved to Vermont over a decade ago and put her two kids into ski programs before they even entered Kindergarten. She is no stranger to the slopes herself. She grew up spending most weekends at Windham Mountain in NY. Her family is currently a combination of skiers and riders. With no plans to move to snowboarding, she is constantly trying to improve her skiing just so she can keep up with her kids!
Prior to starting FindandGoSeek, Dana spent 10 years in marketing for large computer companies such as Dell, Novell and Sun Microsystems. When she is not finding fun for her family and yours, she can be found cooking, hiking with her chocolate lab or biking. All Posts by Dana
