Late February means Presidents’ Week fun at Vermont ski areas. Vermont’s mountains are celebrating with fun events and activities as many school go on winter break. We’ve put together a list of a select few. Check out your favorite resort’s event calendar for more.
Paramount+ The Lodge
February 16-19 at Stratton Mountain
Jump into your favorite shows at ‘The Lodge’ from Paramount+. The Lodge offers interactive experiences for the entire family, including a Nickelodeon Kids’ Zone featuring Spongebob Squarepants and Dora. This event is free but requires a reservation.
FebFest
Saturday, February 17 at Bromley Mountain Resort
It’s the 80’s! Break out your retro gear and introduce your kids to teased hair, leg warmers, and neon onesies. Enjoy live music, a torchlight parade, and fireworks!
Cookies & Cocoa
Saturday, February 17 & 24 Stowe Mountain Resort
Slide by the Over Easy Transfer Gondola on the Mt. Mansfield side of the resort and enjoy fresh baked cookies and warm cocoa. A great warm-up between laps with the kids!
Tell A Friend Tour with Andy Parry
Sunday, February 18 at Killington Mountain Resort
Have your kids ever wanted to ski with the pros? Now they can! Head out with Andy Parry and the Tell A Friend Tour crew in the Woodward at Killington Parks. Spend the day ripping through the parks and then enjoy a pizza party at Snowshed. Killington is offering more opportunities to ride with the pros. On February 25th, they can join Shred with Red for an afternoon with Olympic Gold Medalist Red Gerard.
Grommet Jam
Monday, February 19 at Mount Snow
Is your little shredder in the park all day? Let them learn a few things and then show off their skills at Mount Snow’s Grommet Jam. The third in a series, the Grommet Jam is a great way for kids ages 7-12 to get out and learn a few park skills from Mount Snow’s coaches and instructors before competing in a fun park competition.
Kids Night Out
Wednesday, February 21 at Bolton Valley
The kids are taking over the Sports Center at Bolton Valley! From 2-7pm, kids ages 12 and under can play basketball, soccer, pickleball, jump in the bouncy house, and more. Parents must be present for kids to participate, this event costs $10 for non-sports center members.
High Energy Juggling with Jason Tardy
Thursday, February 22 at Sugarbush Resort
You may have seen juggling, but you haven’t truly experienced it until you’ve seen the explosive, inventive, high-energy juggling of Jason Tardy. His show is a combination of many years of relentless practice, and virtually no social life whatsoever. His hilarious show includes innovative choreographed juggling to music, fitting his body through a tennis racket, bowling ball juggling, balancing a ladder on his face, standing on a yoga ball, and if you trust him enough; fire eating and fire breathing!
Wildlife Encounters
Saturday, February 24 at Burke Mountain Resort
Wildlife Encounters Ecology Center will be leading a “safari around the world”, introducing your family to seven animals live and in person, discover their amazing adaptations, learning their eco-contributions, and their personal stories. This event costs $5 at the door or is free if you hold a 23/24 Burke Winter Season Pass.
Full Moon Snowshoe Hike
Saturday, February 24 at Okemo Mountain Resort
Meet at the Ice House parking lot at Jackson Gore for a guided snowshoe hike under the stars. Bring your snowshoes and enjoy the moonlight! Don’t have snowshoes? Rent a pair in downtown Ludlow before heading to the mountain.
