Smuggs has summer dialed for those looking for a family day of fun. The Summer Daycation pass includes access to daily family activities, the FunZone 2.0 Ozone, pools and reservoirs, disc golf, mini golf, and more. We are fortunate to be a mere 45 minutes away from Smuggler’s Notch and took our four-year-old daughter for the day.
The Daycation pass is $55 for adults and $35 for youth ages 3-17.
Upon arrival at the mountain, the staff at the front desk gave us our tickets, a map, and an extensive list of offerings our Daycation pass included. My daughter heard “FunZone” and so that’s where we headed off to first!
In the Zone
The Daycation pass includes access to the Funzone 2.0 Ozone, which has an indoor mini golf course, the “Littles’ Loft” a play area for the younger members of the crew, and a series of inflatable activities. My daughter beelined it for the Littles’ Loft where she explored a career as a shopkeeper in the pretend General Store before testing out the inflatable slide and bounce house. Even with several other families exploring the Littles’ Loft, it felt like there were activities for everyone so all the kids got to explore and play.
While she wasn’t tall enough for some of the bigger inflatable activities or the table tennis, we did give inflatable axe throwing a try. I promise we didn’t give the preschooler a real axe. The foam axes have a velcro tip to stick to the target, meaning that even though we definitely need to add throwing to the list of things to work on, we were all able to play a round together.
We worked up an appetite in the FunZone and as the mountain had just declared a hold for thunder, we decided to grab some lunch indoors at the Morse Mountain Grill. The minute we walked in, it was obvious that they are kid-centric with the all-inclusive kids menu, coloring, and staff who are happy interacting with littles.
Water Fun
Following a nice meal, we decided to go for a swim. The Daycation pass includes access to 8 pools, 3 water slides, 2 hot tubs, and 2 freshwater swimming reservoirs. The reservoirs are a shuttle or hike away, so due to the forecast, a staff member advised us to hit one of the many pools.
We took a hike up to the Notchville Water Park which features three pools and a kids splash pad. The pools had just reopened following the thunder hold so we had the entire water park to ourselves for a cooling swim in the Cascade Pool. The Cove Pool Sugar House is like a mini water park with a leaking bucket and water cannon for a bit of adventurous fun. My daughter wasn’t ready for the Lily Pad Walk, a ninja-style obstacle course on water, but those with slightly older kiddos will be able to keep them entertained for hours while you enjoy a few moments of relaxing in the sun.
Due to timing, we did not manage to check out any of the family activities on tap during our visit, but Smugg’s has something to offer every day including magic shows, arts and crafts, and more.
Smugg’s has figured out how to keep the entire family active and entertained with the Daycation pass. The true evidence of this? My daughter had so much fun she fell asleep the minute we pulled out of the Smuggler’s Notch parking lot.
