It’s stick season and that means its the best time to grab the most wanted deals Vermont resorts have to offer. Discounted lodging, lift tickets, direct-to-lift access passes, and more are available from your favorite resorts. We’ve pulled together a short list of family ski deals, but be sure to check out your favorite resort’s website to see their latest deals.

 

Ski Vermont 5th grade passport - best family ski deal

Ski Vermont Fifth Grade Passport

Do you have a fifth grader in your family? For just $35 you can get them a Ski Vermont fifth grade passport with three one-day lift tickets to each of the participating alpine ski areas in Vermont. This is one of the best deals you will ever find, anywhere.

How it works: Apply for your child’s fifth grade passport with Ski Vermont. VT or US residency is not required, but proof of grade level is. Once approved, login to the Ski Vermont portal and select your ski area and day to generate a barcode to redeem your ticket. Follow the resort’s provided instructions for ticket redemption. 

 

Smugglers’ Notch Bash Badge

The Smugglers’ Notch Bash Badge is $169 for Adults 19+ and $129 for Youth Ages 6-18. The Bash Badge gives you unlimited access to the mountain, with no blackout dates. It is then $30/day for a whole day and $20 for a half day starting at noon. (Kids 5 and under are free, but they still need a lift ticket)

How it works: Once you purchase your Bash Badge, you can go online and purchase tickets at those discounted rates for the days you want to ski or ride, then head right to the lift once you arrive on-mountain! Smuggs does limit the total number of tickets sold per day, so be sure to book your days early.

 

Sugarbush TBD Ticket

The Sugarbush TBD Ticket is pretty crazy. It’s a $99 unrestricted all-mountain lift ticket good any day of the 2024-2025 season for skiers and riders ages 5-89. Plus, you get a bonus day April 1 through the end of the season for some excellent spring skiing or riding. Kids 5 and under are free, but do require a $5 one-time purchase SugarXpress card to access the mountain.

How it works: Purchase as many TBD tickets as you like. If you don’t have an RFID SugarXpress Card, add one for $5 at checkout. Pickup your Xpress card at the pickup kiosk and then hit the slopes! The TBD tickets are only available until December 2, so grab them while you can!

Sugarbush Schoolhouse Lesson Packs

Sugarbush is also offering discounted lesson packs. Save between 25-65% on 4-, 8-, or 18- day lesson packages. The 4- and 8- day lesson packages are non-transferrable, meaning each kid has to get their own. New this year, the 18-day lesson packs are transferable and can be used between friends and family. 

How it works: Purchase your Schoolhouse Lesson Packs and then reach out to the Ski & Ride booking desk to reserve your lessons when you’re planning to be at the mountain. Book early as lesson space is limited. 

 

Mission afforadable: Jay Peak 4-pack of lift tickets

Jay Peak Mission Affordable 4-Pack

Head up to Jay Peak with the Mission Affordable 4-pack. A four pack of lift tickets for $279, when you purchase by December 2, 2024. These tickets are fully transferable, meaning you can purchase one pack for your family of four or grab two packs and bring a few friends. 

How it works: Purchase the Mission Affordable pack online and then redeem a ticket any day you’d like to use it at one of the lift ticket kiosks at the base of the resort. Hint: If you have kiddos 5 and under, buy them a regular day ticket for any day you’re heading to the mountain as the rates for young kids are lower.

Stratton Summit Saver Pass

Explore Southern Vermont’s highest peak for 2 to 4 days with the Summit Saver Pass. This pass comes preloaded with 2-4 days that can be used on any day during the season with no blackout dates. Prices start at $248 for an adult and $188 for Young Adults age 5-17. 

How it works: Your tickets are preloaded on Stratton’s RFID passes. Simply head to the mountain on the days of your choice and head straight to the lifts!

 

Throw back deal from Magic Mountain

 

Magic Mountain Throwback Card

Want to go old school? Pick up the Throwback Card from Magic Mountain. Purchase for $129 before November 30 and get a discount ticket every time you ski or ride Magic Mountain. Adults can ski or ride for $72 per day, kids and seniors for $64.50. Plus, the second day you ski or ride is free!

How it works: Purchase the Throwback Card and then reserve your day ticket by purchasing your discounted ticket online. Or, visit the ticket office to purchase your discounted ticket in person. To redeem your free visit, you must go to the ticket office on the day you’d like to ski or ride. 

 

Killington K-Tickets

Heading to the Beast this winter? Purchase your K-Tickets before December 2 for $139. K-Tickets are transferable, meaning you can purchase as many as you’d like for yourself, family, or friends. Hint: K-Tickets are one price for all ages, so if you have young kids, check the ticket prices for the days you want to head up the mountain.

How it works: Once you purchase your K-Tickets they will be in your online account. Login and assign the ticket to the One Pass RFID card for whoever will be skiing or riding. Don’t have a One Pass RFID card? Purchase one for $6 and pick it up at a ticket kiosk when you hit the mountain.

Bromley KidsRule Pre-Sale

Save $25 on KidsRule Group lessons when you book in advance! KidsRule lessons at Bromley are good for skiers and snowboards of all ability levels ages 6-12 years old. This discount is good for all non-holiday/non-peak full day KidsRule sessions.

How it works: Book KidsRule lessons in advance online or by calling the Snowsports Desk in order to take advantage of this offer.

 

Bolton Valley Powder Pass

The Bolton Valley Powder Pass is $339 for Adults 18+ and $279 for Youth Ages 6-17. The Powder Pass gives you five lift tickets good any day of the 2024-2025 winter season with no black out dates. Kids under 5 are free, but do require a one-time purchase $5 RFID card to access the mountain.

How it works: When you purchase a Powder Pass you will also purchase an RFID card (hint: if you already have one you can re-use your existing card and save $5), which will then be loaded with the five days of tickets. Pop your card in your pocket and head straight to the lift!
