Okemo Mountain Resort is a popular destination for skiers and snowboarders, and it’s not just the slopes that keep visitors coming back. The resort offers a variety of tasty dining choices. There is everything from casual après-ski bites to more formal dining experiences. Many of these spots provide a mix of indoor and outdoor seating to take advantage of on those bluebird days. With so many options, you’ll undoubtedly find something that suits your family’s taste and budget, so when it comes time to refuel, consider any of these restaurants at Okemo.

Restaurants at Okemo 

The Roundhouse

 Located in the Jackson Gore Base Lodge, the Roundhouse offers grab-and-go breakfast and lunch options for skiers and snowboarders looking for a quick, convenient meal. In the morning, in addition to the specialty coffee bar, you’ll find egg sandwiches, french toast, cold cereal, and more. Lunch options include soups, sandwiches, wraps, salads, and burgers. Unfortunately, this popular spot gets crowded quickly. Send a family member to grab a table while the rest of you go through the line.

The Bull Restaurant and Bar

 This casual eatery at the Clocktower Base Area is a great spot to grab a burger and a beer after a day on the mountain. The menu offers a variety of American cuisine, including sandwiches, salads, and entrees. Although they are famous for Macho Nachos (enough for a family of four) and their burgers, they also offer a variety of sandwiches, wraps, and daily specials. You will have to stake out a table during peak hours as it gets crowded.

Coleman Brook Tavern

Located at the Jackson Gore Inn, the Tavern is the nicest sit-down restaurant at Okemo. Here families can enjoy farm-to-table dishes like Vermont fresh ravioli, the butcher’s block burger, and pulled pork sliders. Kids and adults will love the do-‘em-yourself s’mores kit for dessert. In addition, you get to create your own tabletop campfire. If you know your kids will be hungry after a long day at ski school or on the slopes, make a reservation at a restaurant in advance. This will ensure you don’t have to wait for a table or risk disappointment if the restaurant is fully booked.

43 North Kitchen & Bar

Located at Solitude Village, this lunchtime spot has recently been refreshed and is a hybrid between self-serve and tableside service. It offers a more upscale dining experience than the cafeteria-style, grab-and-go restaurants like The Roundhouse. It features northern French-inspired cuisine. The atmosphere is modern, elegant, and warm, with large windows that offer views of the surrounding mountains. The menu changes seasonally. However, you can expect appetizers such as French onion soup and salad nicoise, a Croque Monsieur, Trout Almondine, and Beef Bourignon.

Snacks and Drinks

Waffle Cabin

It seems like kids can smell these waffles from the two chairlifts away. So you will likely find yourself taking a break to warm up at the Waffle Cabin at Okemo for a mid-day snack. These sweet Belgium-style waffles come coated in sugar, or for an incredibly messy treat, try the ones covered in chocolate sauce. Then wash it all down with a cup of hot cocoa. Make sure to grab some extra napkins from the window, or better yet, come prepared with wipes.

Last Chair Slopeside Bar

Located next to the Roundhouse at Jackson Gore, this is the go-to- spot at Okemo’s for après ski, where you can sip craft cocktails and cold beers. On Saturday afternoons, head out to the courtyard for live music, food, drinks, and games by the firepit.

Restaurants in Ludlow

The Loft

Good dining options in town include the local favorite, The Loft Tavern, located just steps from the resort on a Mountain road. A typical ski town dive bar, it is known for its pulled pork and cajun chicken sandwiches. 

Off the Rails

Off The Rails is a casual pizza joint with indoor fireplaces and outdoor fire pits. Dine in with the family or order takeout to bring back to your ski condo. Make sure you order well in advance, though. They get super busy, and sometimes it can take over an hour to get your food.

DJ’s Restaurant

Finally, try DJ’s Restaurant right on Main Street in Ludlow for a nice sit-down meal. Their menu is filled with hearty selections like Chicken Parmesan and Steak. Portions are relatively large so opt to share a dish with the kids or plan on leftovers to take home.
